You have a friend!

You have a friend!

Scripture: Psalm 23

The fast-growing social media platforms give us a negative feeling of loneliness. People who oppose spending their whole life on a mobile phone warn us, “the friends we have on social media but not in real life will not be able to replace the physical friends we have or had. Replacing meeting and chatting with friends physically with meeting and chatting with friends on various social media platforms leads to more loneliness and depression.”

If we keep technology aside and look into our lives, we all are fighting seasons of loneliness. We often question if anybody is aware and concerned about our burdens and mental battles in our daily lives.

All the believers in Christ with heavily burdened hearts can live confidently with a promise that gives comfort. The undeniable truth is that our Savior’s comforting presence is always with us. “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff comfort me,” says Psalmist David. If you feel left alone because of the choices you made, the temporary changes around you, or the dear ones you lost recently, you can find peace and comfort in the presence of the Great Shepherd. Jesus is our best friend.
