Engaging Asian Indians in the USA & Worldwide

We make Asian Indians feel at Home.

Our Mission

Global Asian Indian Ministries (Global AIM) is a non-profit organisation that exists to reach and serve Asian Indians with hope and encouragement in the United States and worldwide.

The Asian Indian culture is one of the world’s oldest civilisations. Those who immigrate to the U.S. bring with them kindness, education, and hospitality influenced by their diverse languages, religions, dance, music, food, and customs.

Global AIM’s vision is to reach the four million Asian Indians in the United States with hope and encouragement.

Our History

Simon and Anjana Gounder pioneered global AIM in 2003 as Anand Ministry. Later in 2009, the name was officially changed to Global Asian Indian Ministries. Our focus is to reach the Asian Indian population that comes to the US and worldwide. Global AIM is highly recognized by SoCal Network, AG, and other organizations in the USA and India. Currently, we are involved in Rescue Ministry, Clean water projects, and raising ministry leaders. We are also working with Indian organizations to raise the Indian community.
Global AIM’s vision is to reach the over 4 million Asian Indians in the United States with the Gospel.

Our scope is global, but our focus is America. We currently have several programs aimed at reaching and serving our Asian Indian friends in the US:

Our FOCUS

Our scope is global, but our focus is America. We currently have several programs aimed at reaching and serving our Asian Indian friends in the US:

  • Fellowships – At the core of our organization is the belief that everyone needs a friend. It’s our desire to share the amazing love of Jesus through unlimited acts of care and service and, most importantly, just be a friend to someone in need. Our monthly fellowship groups are the perfect opportunity to make friends, encourage others, enjoy a delicious meal, and have fun!
  • Festivals – Global AIM hosts, and partners with other organizations in different cities, to celebrate Indian culture and traditional festivals. Our focus during the festivals is service. We provide free water bottles to guests, face painting, balloon twisting, games, goodie bags for children, and other free resources.
  • ESL Program / Friendship Centers – The Friendship and Resource Centers currently operating in several cities offer ESL (English as a Second Language) classes and practical help for those seeking to learn English and acclimate to life in America.

Bridge

Connect with Asian Indian Communities.

At the core of our ministry is the desire to build relationships and to connect with Asian Indians with love and humility. Most Asian Indians that have migrated to the United States carry all the concerns of being a foreigner in a new country.

They place a high value on relationships with Americans; however, they hold tightly to their own adamant cultural norms. Our goal is to show them love, support, and encouragement through unlimited avenues of care and service.

PARTNER

Connecting with the local church both in the US and around the world.

Global AIM recognizes the value of partnering with the local church to accomplish the goal of reaching Asian Indians within the local community. We respect the vision and passion of local congregations and their pastor to reach their communities for the Kingdom of Christ. Our goal is to assist them in connecting to and reaching the Asian Indians in their area.

The local church provides the base of volunteers for the many programs and services that Global AIM provides and sponsors. Global AIM, in turn, provides the training, opportunity, and connection with the Indian community for these volunteers.

PROCLAIM

Connect Asian Indian communities with Christ.

Everything we do as an organization has one focus in mind: we want people to experience the love of Jesus. The connections, programs, services, and relationships all serve one purpose: to reach the lost. God has given us a love for this people group. When you love someone, you possess “a steady wish for the loved person’s ultimate good…”1 Jesus is the ultimate good for everyone and, therefore, every Asian Indian person!

While we are careful to build a relationship of trust, we are also focused on a caring relationship coming full circle to a clear presentation of the gospel message in a manner in which Indians will receive. We celebrate the building of relationships, but we champion the point of decision to make Jesus Christ the Lord of one’s life.

DISCIPLE

Connecting with and reproducing mature leaders.
