Scripture: Hebrews 10: 19-25
In the 2012 London Olympics, Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake won first and second place in 100-meter and 200-meter running. Although they had a competitive spirit, Bolt praised Blake saying, “Blake is my co-trainee. He has helped me become the best athlete in the past.” This shows us that they motivated each other to reach the top positions in the hurdles.
As a believer, each of us has an exceptional opportunity and responsibility to motivate other believers in the faith. That’s what we read in Hebrews 10:24 – Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.
A church is not an organization or a community hall. It is a place to help others grow more like Christ through repentance. We gather in church as one body to motivate and counsel each other (verses 19-25).
No believer can act individually. We need a group of believers to help us live how Christ wants us to live. Let us motivate other believers through our words and actions to minister like Jesus while gathering in churches.
Amen😊
