Today’s verse: Luke 6:38
Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”
Scripture: Matthew 15:29-38
We live in a world that expects the best without spending much. But we have a Jesus who perfects all our imperfections for free. Let us see what He has for us today!
He heals the sicknesses:
Jesus healed the disabled for free of cost whom the doctors couldn’t heal (verses 30,31). His love and compassion were impartial towards the imperfect and sick. All they did was to take the needy to Him (verse 30; Mark 2:1-12). The miraculous healing revealed His power. Everyone who saw that glorified God. Jesus does the same even today. He heals in miraculous ways! And He expects to glorify Him and minister to Him. We should remember that the one who performs the miracles is superior to the miracles performed!
He feeds the hungry:
Jesus was compassionate towards those who suffer from hunger. But the words of the disciples tell us that they had forgotten how He fed the five thousand (verse 33). But Jesus instead of condemning them asked for what they had. He blessed the seven loaves and fishes and gave it to all. It multiplied to fill everyones’ appetite and they took seven large baskets full of the fragments that were left.
God wants to use all our wealth, possessions, and talents although we find it less or imperfect! When we give He will bless us with overflowing blessings! God wants you and me to experience an overflowing blessing and this happens only when we give Him the little we have. (Read the incident of Elisha and the widow’s oil from 2 Kings 4:1-7).
Ask yourself, What should you do for God to fulfill our needs?
Dear God, I dedicate myself and all that I own for Your glory. Amen!
