Isaac was born to his parents at a very old age, hence he was beloved to his parents. Yet he submitted himself to his dad’s wish to sacrifice him. This is a pre-mark of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. Although he lived in a culture where men married many women, he married one woman and lived a disciplined life.
Strengths:
He was very much obedient to his father that he was ready to sacrifice his life.
First man in the Bible who meditated.
Lived with one wife.
He was a God-fearing and faithful man. He prayed for his wife.
He made peace with his enemies.
Since his focus was on heaven, he did not build a house or city in Canaan.
Weaknesses:
Feared for his life and lied that his wife is his sister.
