A strong woman is the lifeline of her family. She carries within her the power to endure pain and the courage to sacrifice. She has the power to create and nurture life. She is indeed the epitome of love and sacrifice.

Woman plays an important role in building a family. Even the scripture agrees with that. That is why we read in Proverbs 14: 1 as,
The wise woman builds her house, But the foolish pulls it down with her hands.
A woman has to be wise to build her house(family). So I am dedicating this space to encourage each woman who reads this to be a wise woman through female Bible Characters.
As a woman, we need to start every day with prayer and meditating Bible. When we do that we gain strength and wisdom to deal with the things that are laid before us for the day. You also gain peace and confidence to face the day. When we go to God through prayer early in the morning we can be at peace that we have submitted the day to God and He will take care of everything that is in front of us. We should also meditate on the Word of God with love. The Bible says,
Abundant peace belongs to those who love Your instruction; nothing can make them stumble. Psalm 119:165.
The Word of God speaks to us and teaches us the right way. Hence, we need to read the Bible every day. Also, it is important to pray together as a family. Even if your husband or children are working far away from your place, we have all the technology to connect to them today. We should use them wisely! Family prayer is a shield and protection for your family. So do not omit it. The Bible also warns us as,
…because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children. Hosea 4:6.
As parents, one should bring blessings to their children not curse. So prayer and the Word of God are the keys.
Every Wednesday we will meditate on one Woman from the Bible and try to learn something from the character to build our life in Christ. I hope these Wednesday posts build your faith and help you become a wise woman.
Today’s Bible Character: The Woman with an affliction for twelve years.
The Bible talks about the woman who came to Jesus because she had constant bleeding for twelve years. It is mentioned in Leviticus 15:22, If you touch any object she has sat on, you must wash your clothes and bathe yourself in water, and you will remain unclean until evening. Such was her suffering.
God wants each one of us to be healthy without any complications. Even the Bible tells us to live our fullest with prosperity and good health.
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2.
The woman who was suffering for twelve years with bleeding heard about Jesus and came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction. And Jesus knew that power had gone out of Him, asks “Who touched my clothes? The woman, fearing and trembling, knowing that what had happened to her, came and fell before Him and told Him the whole truth. Jesus appreciates her faith and said, your faith has made you well. “Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.” (Mark 5:25-34)
Today, you might also be suffering from any kind of disease. But if you pray to God with faith as small as mustard, the God who healed the woman with twelve years of affliction can touch and heal you. (continuation will be posted next Wednesday)
