Scripture: Matthew 24:3-14
The first world war is considered the one that brought the most harmful consequences in human history. Thousands of people lost their lives in the first world war. The war was stopped at eleven 0’ clock on the eleventh day of the eleventh month in the year 1981. On this most crucial time in history, thousands of people remembered the lost lives and the pain they endured and stood in 2-minute silence. The first world war was considered the ‘great war’ that would cease all the wars.
Though the consequences of the war continued, the hope of peace did not vanish. The Holy Bible gives us hope and promises that one day there will be an end to all the wars. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore. (Isaiah 2:4) – the promise uttered by Isaiah will be fulfilled when Christ returns. At that time, the eleventh hour will pass. And the first hour will start in the new heaven and earth where peace will last forever.
Until that day comes, followers of Christ are kept in this world as His ambassadors through their lives and the differences they make in the life of others.
