Our History

Global AIM (Asian Indian Ministries) was founded by Simon and Anjana Gounder.  They are both Ordained Ministers with the Assemblies of God USA and serve as missionaries with the US Missions.

The Gounders are of Asian Indian descent, born and raised in Fiji.  They planted and pastored Indian churches in Fiji for many years.  While in Fiji Simon was praying and God told him that he was going to move his family to the United States.  It took them a while, eventually, God’s Word came to pass in 2002 when they moved to Los Angeles, California.

After moving to Los Angeles they founded a ministry to Asian Indians and they unwaveringly stuck to the call of God upon their lives.  In 2004 they moved into full-time missionary positions to enable them to reach Asian Indians throughout the United States.  This ministry was known as Anand Ministries.

By the year 2009 the ministry was reaching people locally and globally.  In 2010 we changed the ministry name to Global AIM.  Our ministry was established with a deep passion for reaching the lost with the love of Christ and the message of Hope.

Simon and Anjana have a young adult son, Sylvanas (Sal).  Sal is a student at Vanguard University.  He volunteers as a worship leader at church.  He is fully involved in our ministry, participating in outreaches, mission trips and leads worship at fellowship meetings.
